The Honourable Chancellor/Governor of The Punjab Lt. Gen.(R) Khalid Maqbool visited PUGC on 3rd June, 2005. A briefing regarding the activities at campus was given to him by the Director General of the Gujranwala campus Dr. Liaqat Ali. He was informed that the first admission at this campus has been made in a record shortest time i.e. within two months from the date of possession of this building. A large number of prominent personalities from Lahore and Gujranwala were present at this occasion. He also took the round of the campus and went to class rooms. He was happy to see the state-of-the-art class rooms fully equipped with most modern teaching aids. He asked questions from the students and was pleased with the prompt reply of the students. He also gave prizes to the students on their performance.
